We need police to help everyday citizens, but the rogue cops need to be accountable for their actions and disciplined accordingly just as criminals should be accountable for their actions and disciplined accordingly. For my own safety and the security of my customers loads, I have informed my dispatcher that I will refuse all loads to cities that have defunded their police departments.

Even though there are very few Cops who are out looking for wreckless drivers that screw with truck drivers (cutting them off then brake checking, etc, etc, etc) they are still much needed. We need judges that actually do something with offenders even more.

Because it does not mean you will be delivering in a rough neighborhood. I know without doubt that most areas would protect shipments of necessities

I never had a problem delivering to or pickup in any cities. But if there are no police and the city is out of control. Why would I put my life on the line for some freight? Don’t need to prove I am a great driver by risking my life. I work for a company that would never put me in that situation. Be safe drivers! Remember you are worth more than that load.

This is not an area you need to "act fearless" and if you think you'd look like a fool for saying no... Imagine what kind of fool you look like for WILLINGLY driving into a hot spot, putting your life and Lisence at EXTREMLEY HIGH levels of danger!! Now what would you go and do that for? Do you need that ONE pay check so bad my friend? If you do, I suggest taking a look at what other problems you may be facing.

Whoever chose the phrase defund wasn't very smart because that's not what it actually means. Reorganization or restructuring is what it should say because that's what it is. It's NOT getting rid of the police entirely

Yes because places such as Minneapolis say they aren’t going to disband until they have a plan in place to replace it. Look at Camden NJ, they did it in 2012 and they have less than half the crime they did before.
