If defunding emphasizes less weaponry for the police, what happens when they show up with knives to a gunfight? Remember the saying, something about only criminals will have guns...How will any police force fill its ranks if those people know they cannot protect themselves from the criminal element they are tasked with apprehending? It opens the door to continued National Guard presence, maybe even martial law. Bad idea overall, imho.

Why would I wanna risk my life even more than I already do... the cops are out to protect us and everyone else’s bad enough drivers are already being shot at as it is. Take away the cops and I could die, and if I have my kid or family member with me when I’m there they could die. Not risking my life for these idiots, let the shelves go empty in these defunded areas.
