I would not because I have a family to return to and if career criminals can take over the streets, then who am I? We need police to help everyday citizens, but the rogue cops need to be accountable for their actions and disciplined accordingly just as criminals should be accountable for their actions and disciplined accordingly. Nope. It would be time to get a new profession. See I am all about self preservation not self harm. You see if police departments get defended and pay gets cut, it will not be long before officers start looking for better pay and better benefits and the department is left to the way side.

Why would I wanna risk my life even more than I already do... the cops are out to protect us and everyone else’s bad enough drivers are already being shot at as it is. Take away the cops and I could die, and if I have my kid or family member with me when I’m there they could die. Not risking my life for these idiots, let the shelves go empty in these defunded areas. People already hate us as it is because we r slow and big but they cry when they need us, but when the shelf’s are restocked and they can buy shit again then we are the enemy again and back to cutting us off and tying to kill us because they don’t know how to plan ahead. Defund the cops disband the cops go ahead.... I hope them cities shelf’s and building supplies go empty.

Whoever chose the phrase defund wasn't very smart because that's not what it actually means. Reorganization or restructuring is what it should say because that's what it is. It's NOT getting rid of the police entirely

I am responsible for my safety and my codrivers safety when I am driving. Also responsible for maintaining and taking care of my 150,000 truck. Going into a place with no law and order would put both those things at risk. I have never in my driving career been given a ticket or have I been involved in an accident. I have over a million safe miles. I have been to some places where the police work overtime to keep law and order and its still very scary to get out of my truck and walk across the street. I can't imagine if there were a place where anything goes and anyone can determine what the law looks like to them. Its just to risky for me. I have a great job where my boss will listen to me when I say I won't go. He has already said he won't put me at risk by sending me there.

Life on the road is hard enough without having to worry about somebody trying to get into your truck

Yes, The sheriff is still there. There are places we deliver to now that have city police that would not show up in time anyways.
