Imagine what kind of fool you look like for WILLINGLY driving into a hot spot, putting your life and Lisence at EXTREMLEY HIGH levels of danger!! Now what would you go and do that for? Even though there are very few Cops who are out looking for wreckless drivers that screw with truck drivers (cutting them off then brake checking, etc, etc, etc) they are still much needed. We need judges that actually do something with offenders even more.

For my own safety and the security of my customers loads, I have informed my dispatcher that I will refuse all loads to cities that have defunded their police departments.

If defunding emphasizes less weaponry for the police, what happens when they show up with knives to a gunfight? Remember the saying, something about only criminals will have guns...How will any police force fill its ranks if those people know they cannot protect themselves from the criminal element they are tasked with apprehending? It opens the door to continued National Guard presence, maybe even martial law. Bad idea overall, imho.

Nope. It would be time to get a new profession. See I am all about self preservation not self harm. You see if police departments get defended and pay gets cut, it will not be long before officers start looking for better pay and better benefits and the department is left to the way side.
