I want my personal safety to be as strong as possible. If the towns are at risk that is, as my driving instructor would say a “hazard”. One that to me is unacceptable.

For my own safety and the security of my customers loads, I have informed my dispatcher that I will refuse all loads to cities that have defunded their police departments.

I hope the situation never arises where I need to defend myself, but I'm prepared to if I ever do. I refuse to live in fear of what could happen.

If defunding emphasizes less weaponry for the police, what happens when they show up with knives to a gunfight? Remember the saying, something about only criminals will have guns...How will any police force fill its ranks if those people know they cannot protect themselves from the criminal element they are tasked with apprehending? It opens the door to continued National Guard presence, maybe even martial law. Bad idea overall, imho.
